TH05_YOGENDRA_YADA_1574932eAMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Swaraj Lehar convener and noted political expert Yogender Yadav has said that along with the rank and file of his organization, he would campaign for noted Gurbani exponent Bhai Baldeep Singh who is contesting Khadoor Sahib bypoll as an independent candidate.
While interacting with media persons during his visit to Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar, Yadav said the Khadoor Sahib bypoll was not ordinary one, it is opportunity for bringing Punjab onto a renewed track and it is a battle they would fight under the aegis of Bhai Baldeep Singh.
“This is a battle against the SAD-BJP (Badal) government, against whom hate has prevailed amongst the people of Punjab. Punjabis need a political alternative for which a campaign will be embarked on large scale against the wrongdoings and injustice of the SAD-BJP, after the Khadoor Sahib bypoll under the supervision of Patiala MP Dr. Dharmvir Gandhi”, he added.
He ruled out rumours that he would form any regional political party in Punjab, but expressed willingness to form a national level party.

He lauded Congress leader Ramanjit Singh Sikki for resigning from the post in protest against the sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib, but described the move of again allotting a ticket to him as cheating with principles.

Bhai Baldeep Singh and other leaders of Swaraj Lehar too accompanied him. They paid obeisance in Sri Darbar Sahib on Friday.
It is notable that Bhai Baldeep Singh contested the parliamentary elections of 2014 as a candidate of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) unsuccessfully, from Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha, but gave a tough fight against the SAD (B) candidate Ranjit Singh Brahmpura and Congress candidate Harminder Singh Gill. Later, he parted his ways with the AAP over some differences with the ideology of Arvind Kejriwal.
