Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa Condemns the Charging of Panthik Activists
LUDHIANA, Punjab—83 years old Sikh activist Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa, who is on hunger strike for the last 303 days, against the illegal detention of political Sikh prisoners despite having served their mandatory terms, has strongly condemned the Government’s registering of sedition FIRs charges against Panthik activists. He alleged that Badal has gone blind to keep his post safe but he will be ousted from Punjab politics soon.
Lashing out at the Badal clan for suppressing freedom of speech and expression, he said that Badal has crossed all parameters of cheapness to maintain his post, from which he will ousted in upcoming assembly elections of 2017. He said that the civilians of Punjab are fed up of the hooliganism of the Akali government as corruption has engulfed the whole of Punjab.
Terming Badal as the worst politician of Punjab, Bapu Ji added that despite getting onto the post of Chief Minister using every fair and foul strategy, Badal was proved unsuccessful in maintaining a successful Punjab. The progress and general state in Punjab has deteriorated.
He explained that firstly Badal became Chief Minister in 1970 and President Rule was implemented following a year of his tenure. After this, he again became Chief Minister in 1977 and President Rule was again invoked in Punjab in 1980.
