Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh
Guru roop Khalsa ji,
Today, on the historic and sacred occasion of Bandi-Chhor Divas, my mind is filled with affluence as Sarbat Khalsa 2015 has given me the responsibility of being a servant/sevadar of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji’s sacred Sri Akal Takht Sahib. Guru Panth has fought through troubled times for centuries during its historic journey, but today, for the first time, in the reign of this supposed Panthik government, even Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji’s holy saroops are not safe.
On one hand, instances of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji’s angs/pages being desecrated at various locations are surfacing every other day, and, on the other hand, youthful gems of the panth are etching their names in history by achieving martyrdom for protecting their Panth and Granth. The organizations of the martyrs, Shiromani Akali Dal, Sri Akal Takht Sahib, and Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, under the control of one family, are butchering the strategies, traditions, and principles of the whole Khalsa Panth while pushing the panth towards the rule of land mafia, cable mafia, sand mafia, liquor mafia, transport mafia, and drug mafia and are playing a leading role in damaging the panth’s historic momentum/progress.
As the panth takes it’s first steps towards independence, it is the need of the hour to social boycott the current government. Only if we take these steps will we be able to make the required changes in Shiromani Akali Dal, Sri Akal Takht Sahib Ji, and Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee and align their work towards uplifting the panth so we may start walking on our path to independence.
It’s a historic comparison that Mughal emperor Jahangir gave up the politics of confrontation when he released Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji and the other 52 kings from Gwalior jail but on the occasion of Bandi-Chhor divas, the current, supposedly panthik government’s leader Prakash Badal has arrested Takht Jathedars and leaders of the Damdami Taksal and other panthik organizations to indicate that they’re strengthening their politics of confrontation. At this moment, the whole panth and nation is directed to celebrate a black Diwali. Every Guru Nanak Naam Leva sangat (all sikhs) should gather under the Akal Takht Sahib flag so that we can walk through these difficult times together and regain our deserved status within the fabric of national brotherhood. It is t he responsibility of our panth and every individual sikh to become steadfast Amritdhari by 2020 to lead our panth to victory in this struggle.
