Students openly cheat during university exam in MP
Shahdol (Madhya Pradesh), July 11 (ANI): Second-year students of a college in Madhya Pradesh indulged in open copying on Saturday in front of the invigilator while taking an university examination.
The students were writing their exam in a secondary school in Shahdol city where they together sat on the floor of a classroom with notes open in front of them.
However, the invigilators later barred the students from taking the exam by taking away their answer sheets.
After the case of mass cheating was reported by the media, district collector of Shahdol, Mukesh Kumar Shukla, said action will be taken against the students involved.
"I have given instructions to my officers here to make a crime squad. I have asked them to collect the time table of the examination. Based on the dates, whenever there's any exam, my officers will go there to inspect the situation. If anyone is caught in cheating we will take action against them," said Shukla.
Earlier in March this year, students of class 10 were caught in an incident of mass copying in a state board examination in Bihar's Bijapur town. (ANI)
