SAKA AKAL TAKHAT SAHIB 1984-GENOCIDE OF SIKHS &STATE TERRORISM IN PUNJAB AND INDIA.
It was A SOLEMN Occasion Sikhs observing the Martyrdom of Great Guru Sahib Guru Arjan Sahib Ji in the first week of JUNE 1984 when the Government of India choose to mount a massive Army Attack on Darbar Sahib, Amritsar, and 39 other Sikh Shrines in the state, torturing and killing thousands of Sikhs. The Indian Army shamelessly burned the Sikh Archives and Library, looting thousands of Scriptures, Artifacts, and Sikh Historical records of the past. Thirty years has gone by,and still all the looted artifacts has not been returned. After the attack a vilification campaign against Sikhs worldwide was launched by Indian Government using full force of its diplomatic missions across the globe, the spy network posted in those diplomatic missions.
In November,1984 the Government ministers and bureaucrats conducted a well planned Genocide of Sikhs in major cities through out India, killing thousands. Thousand of Sikhs lost their lives in "False Police Encounters and were thousand were "DISAPPEARED". The Corrupt Judiciary in India and The international community kept mum, in spite of the Western media exposed the Genocide.For thirty years hundreds of innocent Sikhs jailed with framed up charges, who have already completed their unjust Jail sentence for decades are still behind bars, without any just reason. Minorities in India are suffering under the Most Corrupt and Cruel rulers put in place by the majority of Hindus. They label it as largest democracy that did worst than any tyrant ruler in the world.
Thirty years later, there is no Justice and there is no hope of any Justice from the Tyrants.Every June Sikhs across the Globe Observe first week of June REMEMBERING THE SAD AND SWEET MEMORY of Sikhs who lost their lives, trying bravely to defend themselves against State Terrorism across India.
Although, majority of the Gurdwaras worldwide hold Prayers for the Martyrs of 1984 and more than a decade of killing of Sikhs by the State of India (Bharat). WSO annually commemorate this week at the premises of Parliament Of Canada. Since 1985 the commemoration venue was in the Centre and or west block of Parliament. From 2010 on wards the venue was the Government of Conference Centre in Ottawa.because of Extensive and lengthy renovations of Parliament Buildings.In 2014 the Senate of Canada offices moved to Conference centre and WSO was allotted Rooms at National Library Of Canada at 295-Wellington Street ( beside Supreme Court Of Canada Building. This year again WSO's Annual Parliamentary event to Commemorate "SAKA AKAL TAKHAT SAHIB 1984. on Wednesday 3rd June,2015 at National Library Of Canada from 7 to 9 pm. The Toronto Commemorations will be held at Chadani Banquet Hall - 125-Chrysler Ave, in Brampton at ^.30 pm. It is a good idea to RSVP WSO to facilitate sufficient food and accommodation arrangements, although our experience for the past thirty years is that our community members prefer to walk in without RSVP. Gursikhs participate as a responsibility to the Sikh Nation and Solidarity.
