India grounds Boeing 737 Max 8 planes after Ethiopian Airlines crash
In a late night decision, India on Tuesday grounded all Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft “immediately.” The move came after European aviation regulator EASA, the U.K, France, Germany, Australia and Singapore joined a growing number of countries that have barred the aircraft from their airspace following Sunday’s crash of an Ethiopian Airlines plane.
Election Commission: no names removed based on draft NRC
The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday assured the Supreme Court that names have not been deleted from the Assam electoral roll on the basis of their exclusion from the draft National Register of Citizens (NRC), which was published in July last year.

MPs rejected last minute pleas from Ms. May that “Brexit could be lost”, if her deal was defeated, after the Attorney General Geoffrey Cox said that despite legally binding changes to the EU withdrawal deal, the legal risk of the UK being locked in an indefinite backstop with the EU remained “unchanged”.
D-day for Azhar’s UNSC listing: all eyes on China
If China decides not to place a hold on the listing of Masood Azhar at the United Nations Security Council on Wednesday, and the Jaish e Mohammad (JeM) chief is listed as a terrorist sanctioned by the “1267 Al Qaeda Committee”, it would be a major break from the past two decades.
