Story of Prof. Sahib Singh Ji. TEEKA and Bhai Vir Singh Ji and ROLE of SGPC Dharmic Committee
 Now a days before reciting Gurbani,Every Gurdwara and every Pathi recite, The verses,
" Gurbani Guru Guru Hai Banee. Wich Bani Amrit Sarai,
Gurbani Kahai Sevak Jan Mannai Partakh Guru Nistarai.." 
This is because so many who claim to be Sikhs have gone astray and became Patit and started worshiping cemeteries of Dead people and mythical devi Devtas of Hindus. The Jathedars at Darbar bSahib used to recite all kinds of verses before starting Patrh, but never thought of reciting the above verses. Almost a decade ago, one of my close friend Sardar Gurbakhsash Singh Sibia from Gravesend, UK ( Peacock Stree he used to write as Moran Wali Gali)
wrote a letter to Jathedars and SGPC asking them, " KINA CHANGA HOVAI JAO AAP JI RECITE THESE VERSES- BANI GURU DURU HAI BANI...... ( I have a original copy his letter he wrote to Jathedar & SGPC. It took them a few years before they adopted these verses to be recited on a regular basis and now even people at DSGMC from Bangla Sahib also recite these verses while starting Path. IT takes a while to Sink in the good advice at the SGPC. Similarly, They refused to fund the publication of Professor Sahib Singh 's Teeka and left it to a Hindu Gentleman Sohan Lal Ji to fund the publication. At the same time we have seen SGPC and Jathedars writing Mukhmand (preface or introduction) and funding literature that is attributed to Guru Sahib that is derogatory and against Gurbani principles. Examples are Gur Bilas Patshahi Six and many others including a derogatory book written by a christian ( I have a copy of that book). SGPC love to waste Golak Funds on Literature that is Anti Sikh.
This poor friend of mine once wrote to the Jathedar ( Who presented a Siropa to Amar Singh Brundi -Nanaksaria at a Gurdwara in Jullundhar). My friend S.Gurbakhsash Singh of UK attached a photo published in Ajit Jullundur and sent to the Jathedar, " This type of bestowing Siropa on a BADNAM person does not give SOBHA to the position of a Jathedar !). This Jathedar ji did not replied to his letter for several months, but when coaxed into responding he wrote an abusive reply to this Gursikh, who wrote back a very polite reply to the Jathedar quoting Gurbani verses,, " mai Moorakh Kee Kaitak Baat Hai Kot Apradhi Taria Rai... The strange thing here was that they do not even care that they are using the letterhead of Akal Takhat Sahib and writing language that our Guru Sahib would not Approve.( I have copies of the Correspondence that was mailed to us at WSO office by this Gursikh from UK.
There is big collection of such correspondence in which Jathedars and SGPC did not show any competence and decorum to reply to Sikh Sangat asking questions.
In one of the earlier Kirpan Case faced by a Amritdhari Gursikh in Ontario court, the Gurdwara asked SGPC to send them a letter that an Amritdhari Gursikh needs to have 5-ks in his/her person at all times, to be presented to the court as expert witness. The reply that was received from SGPC was useless and not helpful at all ( I have copies of that reply in WSO files) The result was that eventually WSO has to abandon "Expert Witness testimony" in all cases of Religious Obligations. This was gladly accepted in the Kirpan Case at the  Supreme Court of Canada. (Gurbaj Singh Multani case).
Looking at all this, WSO wrote a 7-page letter to Mr. Dhindsa and copy to SGPC to review and streamline the process of appointments , and working of Jathedars. Sadly Nothing was done by the Sikh Leaders in Punjab or Delhi.
NOTHING CAN BE DONE TO CLEAN THE LEADERSHIP ROT AT DARBAR SAHIB UNLESS THEY ACCEPT THEIR MISDEEDS AND TRY TO IMPROVE THEIR WORKING IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GURBANI TEACHINGS.
Gursikhs Have Already Decided to Go by the Teachings of GURBANI until THE LEADERS AT THE HELMS OF POWER, COME BACK TO THE GURU SAHIB AND START WORKING FOR THE GURU PANTH AND HUMANITY AT LARGE INSTEAD OF SELFISH ENDS AND Working for Pressure of Politicians and Derawalas.
SIKH SANGAT KNOW HOW TO FOLLOW THE GURU SAHIB. " NANAK KACHIRRIAN SIO TORRD DHOOND  SAJJAN SANT PAKIAN. OAI JEEVANDAI VEECHHORREH OAI MUAIA NA JAHEE CHHORRD (P-102) (Nanak break up with false ones and Seek the firm saintly friends. The false ones shall leave you while alive, But saintly friends shall not Forsake you even when dead).
Further on page 159 , " LAGREE SO THAN JORRANN HARAI JORREEA. NANAK LEHREE LAKH SAI AAN DUBANN DAI NA MA PIRI.( I am attached to the propitious place and The Uniter has united me. Nanak, there may be lacs of waves, but my dear Spouse will NOT let me drowned.

( Even those who consider themselves very wise have been ruined by these whirl-pools of spinning,twirling waters. Amidst continued rains,storms,floods and surging lacs of waves, if one ask for help from SATGURU then there shall be no fear of floundering ship.........
In continuation of this Sabd it says , NANAK DUNIA KAISE HOEE. SALAK MIT NA REHEEO KOEE..................DUNIA KARN DEEN GAWAIA, ( Nanak, what has happened to the world ? where there is no friend or guide....... How Unfortunate, that for the sake of such a world, the mortals have lost their faith).
One can keep on quoting Gurbani verses after verses. THE TRUTHFUL BEHAVIOUR SHALL PREVAIL.
