BREAKING: Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa Admitted to ICU

LUDHIANA, Punjab—After being unconscious since last night, Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at the Dayanand Medical College & Hospital (DMC&H) in Ludhiana. Bapu Ji has been completely unconscious for almost 12 hours. He has earlier fallen in and out of unconsciousness, but never to this extend. As per his medical reports, his condition is really serious.
Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa – Sangharsh Jaari Hai page reported, “Bapu Surat Singh Ji Khalsa has been unconscious since last night. Doctors have admitted Bapu Ji to ICU 2, bed 16 at the DMC.”
Bapu Ji had earlier issued a note that if he was ever unconscious, he shouldn’t be treated or force fed, however, in order to perform an MRI, doctors are forcibly removing Bapu Ji’s kakaars. Bapu Ji’s supporters feel that this is not just against his personal wishes, but also against his religion.
Bhavandeep Singh Sidhu of the Bandi Singh Rehai Sangharsh Committee also confirmed the news. He stated that Bapu Ji has been really weak since that past few days however he continued to refuse any type of medical treatment when he was conscious.
Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa has been on a hunger protest for over 1 year. During that period, he has been force fed multiple times. Bapu Surat Singh is asking for unconditional release of political prisoners who have not been released despite completion of their sentences.
