Attack on Dhadrianwale: Baba Bhupinder Singh’s Final Rites Attended By Thousands

LUDHIANA, Punjab—Antim Sanskar of Baba Bhupinder Singh (Dhakki wale) took place on Wednesday, May 18 2016 at Khasi Kalan, Dhakki Sahib.
Baba Bhupinder Singh’s final rites were attended by thousands of Sikhs from across Punjab, as well as by numerous Sikh organisations and Panthik leaders. Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa Dhadrianwale spoke at the funeral and provided details of the incident.
While explaining how the convey was attacked, Dhadrianwale spoke about how Baba Bhupinder Singh was shot. In his speech, he referred to Baba Ji as a shaheed. Bhai Dhadrianwale also spoke about future course of action if the authorities do not nab the criminals responsible for this murder.
In an unprecedented fully pre-planned shameful attack, a gang of unknown criminals had attempted to assassinate the Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa Dhadrianwale whilst en-route to a diwan on May 17. Baba Bhupinder Singh Ji, mistaken for Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa, was killed after a bullet hit his head.
Bhai Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale referred to Baba Bhupinder Singh as a fearless sevadar of the Parmeshar Dwar Gurmat Parchar Sewa Mission. Speaking at the funeral, Bhai Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale appealed to his followers to stay calm. “I request the Sadh Sangat to not speculate anything at this point and let the administration do its work. I am deeply saddened by the death of my colleague Bhupinder Singh, with whom we were doing Sikhi parchar day and night,” Bhai Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale said.
