AMRITSAR SAHIB—Hazoori Ragi Bhai Karaj Singh, who was suspended by the SGPC for opposing the pardon to Sirsa Cult Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim, was reportedly barred from entering Sri Darbar Sahib on February 27.
Talking with Sikh24’s correspondent, Ragi Bhai Karaj Singh informed that as per his daily schedule, he went to Sri Darbar Sahib at 3:45 am on February 27. He told Sikh24 that a police contingent stopped him on the way to Sri Akal Takht Sahib from Dharm Singh Market.
“I have no doubt that the police cop was high [on drugs] at the time,” he said. “I tried to explain to the cop that I visit Sri Darbar Sahib daily to pay obeisance and that I am the Hazoori Ragi there, however the police contingent started using abusive words,” he said.
“The policeman was really loud and people from nearby houses and sangat gathered at the incident and intervened. Finally, I was allowed to reach Sri Darbar Sahib,” he told Sikh24.
Bhai Karaj Singh informed that whole matter has been in notice of Police commissioner Jatinder Singh Aulakh and he has felt sorry for the inconvenience caused by the Police contingent.
