Ramuwalia suspends Police Inspector responsible for committing atrocities on Sikh family

LUCKNOW, India—Jail Minister of Uttar Pradesh Balwant Singh Ramuwalia yesterday suspended a Police Inspector named Ramesh Chahar who had committed severe atrocities on a Sikh family last month. It is notable that an FIR was lodged against the Police Inspector and his family by the Jail Minister Balwant Singh Ramuwalia last month.
The Police Inspector Ramesh Chahar was pressurizing a Sikh family living in his neighbourhood to witness in his favour in a case related to controversy of his property. Inspector Ramesh Chahar had been living in an illegally possessed house for which he was facing charges in the Court. He waspressurizing the Sikh family living in his neighbourhood to witness in his favour to state that he had purchased the house at cost of Rupees 2 million. When the Sikh family refused to witness in his favour, he brutally beat up the family on January 12.
The whole incident was brought into the notice of Jail Minister Balwant Singh Ramuwalia by the deceased Sikh lady Lajwinder Kaur. After getting acquainted of the atrocities committed over Sikh family, Ramuwalia had lodged an FIR under sections 147, 148, 452, 307, 354, 504 and 506 of Indian Penal Code against the alleged Police Inspector and his family members.
