Manmeet Kaur becomes first Sikh TV Anchor in Pakistan
Posted: 12 May 2018 08:13 AM PDTPESHAWAR, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan—23 years old Peshawar based Manmeet Kaur has been appointed as TV anchor by the Pakistani channel Hum TV. With this appointment, Manmeet Kaur has become first female Sikh reporter in Pakistan.
Owned by Hum Network Limited, the Hum TV is a 24-hour entertainment TV channel based in Karachi, Pakistan. It was founded by Sultana Siddiqui and Duraid Qureshi.
After offering prayer in a Gurdwara Sahib of Peshawar (Pakistan) on May 11, Manmeet Kaur said that she is feeling proud after getting appointed as a Reporter in Hum TV.
She added that now she has become able to bring the difficulties of Sikhs into limelight via media. “I will serve my duties with full dedication and honesty” she maintained.
