The thermography images show how the immigrants were captured in the Emirate of Sharjah
Immigration staff received a tip-off and pointed a specialist camera at the vehicle, revealing dozens of people huddled inside the metal drum.
The thermography images show how the immigrants were captured in the Emirate of Sharjah, in the north east of the United Arab Emirates.
They were given away by their own body heat while trying to make it through the Khatam Milaha border crossing point.
Images show them glowing red and yellow against the blue and black of the concrete mixing truck, the top of the drum also appears to be illuminated where their breath has gathered.
The Federal Customs Authority foiled the attempt to smuggle people into the United Arab Emirates.

Commissioner Ali bin Subaih Al Kaabi, chairman of the Federal Customs Authority, said: "The 22 infiltrators then got out of the cement mixer one by one, following which they were detained and taken into police custody for interrogation."
A warning had been issued to all border staff across the United Arab Emirates leading to increased checks.
The Department of Seaports and Customs in Sharjah helped make the shocking discovery earlier this month.
Border staff found 21 Asian people and an African woman hidden in the back of the truck.

They were ordered to "remain calm" as the driver of the truck asked them to get out.
The commissioner added: "This was because of the large number of infiltrators in the cement mixer.
“It was possible that they included serial criminals or had weapons."
The entire area was first cordoned off with extra police sent to help with security.
