Stray dog bites newly elected councilor on thanks giving round.
Jalandhar, December 20, 2017: A newly elected councilor of Municpal Corporation, Jalandhar was bitten by a stray dog.
The Councillor  was elected from Ward number 26.
The incident happened when the councilor was visiting the area voters to thanks them for electing him.
He was treated for dog-bite and learnt to have been advised medical rest.
Incidentally, stray dogs have become a menace in Punjab in both urban and rural areas.
Deaths have also been reported due to stray dog attacks.
The municipal bodies have miserably failed in tackling this menace
