Sudden exit of S. Papalpreet Singh from SAD (Amritsar) has sparked a debate among Sikh activists active on social media all over the world. He is renowned for his ground level work in Punjab as he has spent a decade of his life serving families affected by 1984 oppression by the Indian State.
On being contacted by Sikh24, S. Papalpreet Singh confirmed the development and cited ideological differences with Akali Dal (Amritsar) as the reason of his quittance from party.
It is pertinent to note here that S. Papalpreet Singh was inducted into the party fold by S. Simranjit Singh Mann on May 1, 2016 in Amritsar. He was inducted into the party on the condition of merger of his youth outfit named Sikh Youth Front into the SAD (Amritsar).
Sources have informed that the USA unit of SAD (Amritsar) had played a vital role in facilitating appointment of S. Papalpreet Singh as a Chief Organizing Secretary of Youth Akali Dal Amritsar.
  S. Papalpreet Singh further told Sikh24 that he is supporting candidates of Jathedar Bhai Ranjit Singh and Bhai Baldev Singh Wadala in the upcoming elections of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee.
